The other night when the babies were quiet, I worked on my eyes. I applied eye primer first before I applied the shadow. This time I tried the yellow and green look that I saw on youtube a few days ago. I need more practice obviously. ^^

Perfect when you’re off to see a movie or when you want to spend some quality time with the family.

I don’t like Jessica Simpson and I didn’t think I would like her perfume until mum bought one for my sister. She asked if I wanted one but I said no because I didn’t think I’d like it. I regret saying no later after my sister put it on her. I loved it! It smelt good and it lasted from the moment she put it on until she took a shower the next day! I had to have it! So on the day I bought my hair straightener I also purchased Jessica Simpson’s Fancy. :D.

With it I received a GUESS overnight bag and Paris Hilton’s Fairy watch for free! Yup! I got a really good deal on it from MACY’s :)

Excuse the red eyes! I am a mum to a 7 month old who is not feeling well at the moment. If you’re a mom/mum you know exactly what I mean. LOL. Anyway, read below if you want. :P

I really want to learn how to properly apply eyeshadow on my eyes so I decided to go on youtube for tutorials. I found a lot of helpful tips and tricks but the thing is, those girls make it look easy! I dunno what I did wrong but it didn’t look right every time I tried it myself! I have tried it a few times but the picture below is what I came up with. It’s not good plus I really need to know how to prep my face. :P. I did a “smokey” effect. I dunno. You judge. Be nice though!

You can see from the inner lid corner that the eyeshadow started to crease. :P. I need a good primer! I think I’ll try Urban Decay! I heard a lot of good reviews about it. Anyway, you will see a full look after the fold.

I’ve been looking for a decent hair straightener since we moved here because I left my cheap one in the UK. It was cheap but it worked well. I thought that I would get the same deal here in the states. I was wrong! I bought 3 before I found ZEE one! The first three were not good! It took ages to straighten my hair and I am talking 45 minutes! My hair is wavy but it’s not thick so it really shouldn’t take that long! It was very frustrating especially when I was in a hurry! I ended throwing two of them and bought one more, but it performed just like the other two I binned. What a waste of money! I wish that I saved all that money and paid for an expensive one that really works!

When Ryan and I took the kids and my sister to the mall I ended up buying one! It was a little bit expensive but it works! Now it only takes 15 minutes to straighten my hair! I also know how to curl my hair because the lady who sold it at the mall showed me how on Chantelle’s hair! As you can see from the picture the name is Amika. Never heard of it before but it works really well! I am happy that I bought it even though I wasn’t sure when I paid for it. You can google and buy it online if you want it or you can always go to the mall. :P :D

First of all, let me tell you that I am not getting paid for this review! This is an honest opinion about what I bought recently. So here I go…

I’ve been wanting to buy eyeshadows that are high pigmented and good quality ones, but the eyeshadows I found online are so expensive! $14.50 for one colour from mac! I mean if I was a professional and is getting paid to do make-up gigs then I wouldn’t feel bad about buying MAC eyeshadows. I am not a pro though and I didn’t want to spend that much on eyeshadow either so I did my research. That’s when I found out about Coastal Scents! At first I didn’t believe it and thought it was a sham, but when I went to their site, I read nothing but good reviews about their shadow palettes. I still wasn’t convinced but in the end I decided to give it a try. I thought that there’s no harm in trying at least once. I decided to try the 88 eyeshadow matte palette one. I paid $21.99 for 88 colours!

I ordered it on a Monday and received my palette on a Thursday on FDX ground. As soon as it got here I did the swatch thing on my hand and guess what? I love it! It is high pigmented! You can see it on the picture below:

The sizes are as small as a dime but I only did one coat with my shadow brush so I have no doubt that they will last long! I was so thrilled that I raved on about it to my husband who was at that time still trying to find out what I wanted for Christmas. So guess what he did? He ordered me 6 different palettes! YAY!

I am so happy with my first purchase at Coastal Scents and even happier now that the lovely hubby got me more for Christmas! Fantabulous! I can’t wait to try them on me! So I guess if you are on a budget or only starting out, I would suggest getting a palette from Coastal Scents‘ website. :)
